Since I continue to be in photo review mode, here are a few more photos of Qikiqtarjuaq and area.

The DEW Line station (FOX-5) as it existed in 2004. It no longer exists today.

Indeed I was very lucky to have the chance to spend 6 years of my life there.

I spent the school year 2002-2 in Qik. Loved it there. Also taught in Taloyoak and Rankin Inlet.

I spent five months teaching in Qik and liked it. Was not impressed with the pink house that I lived in as I didn't feel it was safe or clean. It was beside the big gas tank. I was ESL and PST and enjoyed working with the students. Also, I liked spending time with the Inuit teachers and carvers. Feel I had a good experience and might try it again now that I'm retired.

I spent a few months in the pink house as well before moving into the 5-plex cross the road so I know what you mean. I am hopeful to return to Nunavut in some capacity in the future.
