Traditional Inuit Clothing

Today was Traditional Inuit Clothing Day at our school. Here are a few random pictures from this afternoon's assembly.

As an added bonus, I dug into the archives and came across this older picture of me from June 2005, dressed in caribou skins.

For more pictures of the event, see Kendra's blog.

It is quite striking. There were a few other amautis I had hoped to get pictures of but their wearers were a little on the shy side.

The glasses are made out of caribou bone but I'm not sure of the name for them.
