Iqaluit Revisited

While scanning old photos into my computer I came across a few from my first day in Nunavut. And of course that first day was spent in Iqaluit, the gateway to everywhere else in the Baffin Region. The city has changed quite a lot since I first went through it. The population has climbed close to the 8000-mark. Many new buildings have popped up since then including an addition to the airport, three apartment complexes, 2 hotels and even an entire subdivision. Here then is what the city looks like, or at least this is what it looked like back in 2003.

Panoramas of the city.
