Our second sea lift is here with supplies for the Northern Store and construction materials to finish off some housing units as well as to begin the building of a new community hall. Also on this ship was our order for the school. The bulk of the high school students were out helping at the Northern so a number of younger students pitched in to unload the sea can and ferry all matter of boxes into the main hallway of the school. I managed to get one quick picture of our school's sea can before setting down the camera to help out with the unloading.
Apparently the ship will be here all through the weekend. The last one wasn't even here for 24 hours before setting off again. But for the most part the first ship just had individual sea lift orders like mine on board. Needless to say it is quite busy around town at the moment. I wasn't able to manage any pictures of the unloading down at the breakwater. There was such a flurry of activity with big forklifts going in all directions so I decided it was best for me just to stay out of the way. There is a great deal of excitement in the air with all new crates being brought in... kids, adults and vehicles everywhere. It's like Christmas and New Year's all rolled into one.
