Busy Day

One of the things I like to do from time to time is to poke around and see what important events occured on a given day of the year. Since a rather nasty flu bug seems to have felled many of my students the past couple days (leaving me with an empty classroom) I decided to take a look and see what happened on this day in years gone by. Guess I was bitten by the history bug. Okay, terrible joke I know. Anyhow, turns out, from what I could find, that this was a rather busy day.
